John C. Kunkel, 77 TOWNSEND - John C. Kunkel, of Townsend, passed away Friday, Aug. 29, 2008. He was 77. He is survived by his wife, Blanche (Gregg); sister, Mary; brother, Robert; six stepchildren, Richard King and William King of Newark, Stephen King of Townsend, Donna Haselbusch of Ariz., Lavina Ball and Donnie Bowman of Ill.; four nieces, Kathy Chilcoat, Joy Pastore, Karen Jones and Laura Shipkowski; two nephews, Ray and Billy Rash; 11 step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services are 1 p.m., Tuesday, in the Townsend Free Will Baptist Church, 4519 S. DuPont Highway, where friends may call two hours prior to services. Burial will follow in Forest Cemetery in Middletown. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to Townsend Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund, 4519 S. DuPont Highway, Townsend, DE 19734. Arrangements by Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, Middletown.
